I'm hoping you all can help me. I have an old necklace, gold chain,
slightly worn from years of dancing, and attached to many of the links
are small ceramic animals. Not your typical horses or elephants, but
exotic ones like tasmanian tigers or Ibis or nothern grizzly. It is
amazing the detail, a local prof was able to identify them and give a
gender. A friends child was afraid they might leap off my neck and come
get him at night, they look so real.

Anyway, the clasp is a spuno. I found a book in this allery-way
bookstore that listed spuno clasps. It says they are no longer made and
that the company went out of business because the claps often caused
injury. Believe me I know. But I love the necklace and want to get it
fixed.

SO does anyone know how to fix or replace a spuno clasp?

I knew a Connie in high school. She won the state long jumping context
every year, from freshman to senior. But then in college the long
jumping pressure got to her, and she abadoned her career and moved to
western Nebraska to work in the husking industry.

Yeah, the Spuno clasp is tricky as it seems to not only clasp the
necklace together, but also holds the links and ceramic figures in
place. Sort of an extended ruler over a small but green country, where
there are few cars, but lots of organic cheeses and real metal
trophies.

Maybe I could place another claps over the Spuno clasp?
